Phantom Quartz Northwood Tower
This special Phantom Quartz tower comes from a relatively small pocket of crystals from Madagascar that we acquired all of with light green Chlorite phantoms that are unusually seen in the location. This tower has gorgeous slightly minty, sage green phantoms that grow up through the crystal and almost fade as they rise. There are a few penetrator crystals growing into the main crystal that add a unique detail to this piece. The tower is polished on the front surfaces and top and left raw on the backside, giving it a lovely, balanced look.
A phantom marking is created when crystal growth is paused and then resumed at a later time. Often when the crystal pauses growth, minerals such as hematite or chlorite cover the outside of the crystal point and creates a phantom marking. These markings display snapshots into the crystal's past and they truly exhibit the history and energy of the crystal.
